The leadership of the Citadel Rifle Legion Drill Team display the highest regard to the Citadel values - academics, duty, honor, morality, discipline, and diversity. These leaders are not chosen by the facility or tactical officer, but by members of the Legion through a series of nominations and votes at the end of each school year.

Commanding Officer

Cadet Major Ziaire O'Brien is a member of the Romeo Company Class of 2014. He is originally from Long Island, New York, but currently resides in Beaufort, South Carolina. This is his fourth year as a member of the Rifle Legion. He is a political science major and a United States Marine Corps Contract, which means he will accept a commission in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Second Lieutenant upon graduation from the Citadel.
As the Rifle Legion Commander, his role is to oversee The Legion and work closely with SFC Greene with logistics and operations. |

Cadet Second Lieutenant Clark is a member of the Victor Company Class of 2014. He is from Moontownship, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh. He is a History major and hopes to be a teacher after a possible military career.
As the Executive Officer, his role is to assist the CO with the team as well as handle issues concerning logistics and other team matters. |
Cadet Corporal Scott was born in Pensacola, FL. Because his father was a pilot with the USN, he's lived in Florida, Texas, Japan, Hawaii, California, and Nebraska. C/CPL Scott moved here from Nebraska, where he was the commander of his high school drill team. The team itself is nationally ranked in the Daytona Drill Championship and he took first place at the Air Force National Drill Meet at the Air Force Academy in 2012. Taylor is majoring in physics and has a Navy contract and he hopes to earn a commission as a pilot in the Navy, hopefully flying fighter jets.
As the First Sergeant, his role is to assist the CO and XO in discipline and logistical matters. |
